My area of expertise is weaving, painting, design and toolmaking. I deliver workshops and online sessions on the following topics:

1. Weaving a male tradition - Steve discusses & demonstrates weaving on the South East Coast - using both traditional & contemporary materials. Learn about eel traps, fish traps, making nets. Steve discusses different conferences he has attended and shares the knowledge he has learnt at Selling Yarns Conference 2006, 2009. Including learning to make Possum skin cloaks.

2. Dynamic Cultural Design Projects with Steven Russell -

• Steve discusses collaberative project with Urban Art Projects & Waverley Council- Campbell Parade, Bondi Beach, BONDI NSW. Learn about the inspiration of his designs and listen to the stories of the bronze disks that are now on permanent display in the oceanside pavement.
• Steve as a Senior Artist colleberated with BNAACS and Museum of Sydney making objects for permanent display in The Cadigal Place Exhibtion

3. Timbery Tales & legends - Steve discusses and shares his family heritage - a long line of talented NSW artisans. View old photographs and artworks. Steve shares stories of his connection to Country - Botany Bay, Five Islands, Figtree, Gerringong, Wreck Bay.
