Story: I was born in Nowra in 1952, both my parents where from Orient Point. My grandmother on my mothers side is from the Coolangatta Mob near Berry. I am the youngest of 7 children. I was raised and educated in Wonoona, Wollongong. My old man was a fisherman - oyster farmer at Orient Point.

I started at Liverpool TAFE in ceramics in 1989. I started at West Wollongong 1998 and studied their till 2007, specializing in Ceramics and Aboriginal Art + Cultural Tourism.

I have exhibited at Wollongong Aboriginal Cultural Centre, Wollongong University travelling exhibition that went to Geelong. I have also exhibited at Wollongong City Regional Gallery whom have purchased two of my ceramic objects as part of their permanent collection. I exhibited work in Paris in 2007 and currently have work at the Marianne Newman Gallery in Crows Nest.

The studio enables me to practice and have self expression through my art. The studio gives me access to my Aboriginal community learning from the other artists. To keep practicing my art enables me to be self-sufficient and independent.

I am also working on a Native Plant Seed collecting & propagating as part of our Bush & Foods & medicine garden at the Studio. This caring for country will benefit our local genetic seed pool and ensure sustainability of species for future generations to inherit. I plan to pass my knowledge to those who want to learn and help work toward employment outcomes of our Boolarng Nangamai Aboriginal Corporation.
