I have lived on the south coast for 16 years. I was born on Burnt Bridge Mission Kempsey in 1941. I lived on Burnt Bridge Mission with Mum, Dad my sisters and brothers. I went to Burnt Bridge Mission school until I was 15 and wasn't able to go to High School because of my heritage.
I then travelled around and had my family. My late sister Helen encouraged me to go to TAFE, I took her up on this and have been studying since 1995. I have completed in this time an Advanced Diploma in Visual Arts.
I paint about my feelings that make patterns I also paint my memories of the land of my home.
Wollongong City Regional Gallery have two of my artworks in their collection. I have exhibited at Wollongong University and had my artwork travel as part of a national exhibition to Geelong, and have also exhibited in Paris France.
The knowledge I have gained I pass onto my children and grandchildren to keep Aboriginal Culture alive.
