Story:

I have been an artist all my life - i grew up surrounded by a family of signwriters, shellmakers and sculpturors. Alongside my cousin Jo Davis, we shared a passion for the arts. We bounced off each other for many years inspiring each others work and processes. I have been influenced by my elders, older cousins and Grandmother Sarah Cruse who introduced me too many manuel crafts. She was a weaver herself but more famed for her shellwork. I gained my attention to detail from my Dad, Percy and my Uncle Mark.

I started exhibiting in 2005 at the Wollongong Courthouse Arts Law exhibtion. I have worked for many years and have diverse skills in many mediums. I love experimenting with natural fibres and letting my creativity run wild with new ways to work with the materials. I recently exhibited in a group exhibition with BNAACS at Marianne Newman Gallery.

I have completed a Cert IV ATSI Cultural Arts in 2008. I am currently studying a Diploma of Visual Arts with West Wollongong TAFE.
